Does anyone know the current status of USFA single action production? I just checked their web site and could not find a link to their product line. Thanks.

Switching to some little modular type pistol that supposedly uses 10/22 mags. Supposedly they are still doing custom orders but if a guy wants a USFA single action you better find one on GB or another auction site and grab it. Too bad they made such a dramatic switch in directions after making such a beautiful single action.

They are basically out of the single action business, but haven't formally said so. They sold most of their equipment over the last few years and were only building whatever guns they had parts on hand for. They have been focused on their new zip gun, or whatever it is, which is totally outsourced.
Last I heard, they were moving out of their building into a new location and the entire company was basically just two people: the owner and one engineer...they no longer even have a receptionist or a service manager.
I would buy whatever you can now, as they aren't making any more any time soon...

Pajamas, Huh? Remember: If they keep you in bed, in pajamas, you cannot go to the gun shows. It sounds like an evil plot to manage your behavior.........At least here in the NNW it would be so......Go and search for your street clothes.......... 8) :wink:

Yes, John, you are right about changing the main spring. I have 4 or 5 USFAs and they all get an action job and a new mainspring. Once that is done, however, the are indeed butter smooth.
I have two favorites...both are actually Turnbull Mfg guns, but are USFA guns. One is an engraved 4 5/8" 38 WCF gun with Nutmeg Sports heavy bark ivory grips. The other is one of 7 Custer Cavalry guns that Turnbull did 3-4 years ago. They have a 7.5" bbl and are exact replicas of the original Cavalry guns that the 7th Regiment would have had, down to the inspector markings and proofs. The only difference being the Turnbull Mfg name (instead of Colt) and the serial number (customized).
