UPS IDIOT

Is your mailbox there? Maybe the "No Trespassing" sign is detering him.
My mail box is down on the paved road at one of those mail stations. I would assume that since the sign is directed at "UPS" that the driver would know that the no trespassing sign did not pertain to him. The only thing keeping this guy from driving up my driveway is just plain laziness.

Maybe the new world we live in has these drivers on 'a digital clock'; perhaps not even allowing much time for lunch and dinner..???
If they don't make the 'clock' perhaps they lose some of that new. negotiated salary.... what is it(?) $170,000 a year..!

Can't make any relationship with this UPS driver since I don't know when he's there leaving a package at my gate.

Since you can't seem to learn multi-quote, I'll just do it.

Problem one has a solution if you'd read the comments. If you can sit here and make bad points on the internet all day, surely you can figure out how to get set up for notifications.

You have proven over time that you are the only one that understands what you write. Your signs and your dullard attitude towards this subject proves such. I actually feel sorry for you ... I think.

I’ve always went out of my way to treat the delivery guys good. Pays off for sure!!! Both
My mail lady and UPS guy are great. I sit 1000 feet off the road. If my driveway is t plowed and they choose not to drive down it I totally understand.

Just remember. Fragile written on a box can turn into kick me if you have an attitude towards them!!! Lol

Cary seems like all the time you spent complaining about the UPS guy you
Could have registered for notifications and they do give you a window of approximate time they will delivery. Make a point of meeting your driver. It may benefit you.

For you guys that don't like my sign...I told you I only had so much room on that piece of aluminum. But, I managed to find another small piece of aluminum so I revised my sign. Are you happy with it now?

I would guess probably not. I'm used to taking a beating from you people.

When UPS does deliver a package, they send an email saying it was delivered. Sometimes they even take a picture of it. That's how I knew where my package was delivered. But they don't always take those pictures.

So, I take it, when I am expecting a package you want me to sit at my computer all day waiting for an email notice? Get to know my driver?
HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO MEET A DRIVER I NEVER EVEN SEE?
Besides, there is another guy a few streets away from me that has the same street number as mine. Sometimes my packages will wind up at his place.

I don't want my packages left there because other people use that road and I don't want my package stolen. OK, jump all over me, do your best.

Since I'm a retired 3rd generation USPS employee, I have this figured out. I make it a point to maintain a reasonably good relationship with my delivery folks(USPS/UPS/FedEx). It makes for a 'more harmonious outcome' in the long haul.
I used to have very good relationships with the delivery folks. These have all been replaced by lazy and irresponsible kids.

Complaints to local office does no good.

I like the addition of the word PLEASE. Maybe that will help. The cherry on top would be to amend the other sign to say NO OFF ROAD VEHICLES instead of no trespassing. The average citizen does not know the definition of trespass.

Yes they are IDIOTS and I think it’s getting worse .
I had 6 heavy boxes delivered a couple of weeks ago via UPS . This moron drive straight past my house which is numbered clearly and dropped all 6 boxes at my neighbors house right under the number of his address. The boxes were labeled correctly so I don’t know what this useless twat was thinking, but I had to get a moving cart and bring the boxes home .
I called UPS to complain but never heard back.
I also tried their customer service recently to change a delivery and got frustrated trying to talk to a real person!
UPS will not be my first choice for delivery in the future.

I'm on a good first name basis with my UPS driver. Always a word or two between us if I'm home when he delivers. With Amazon or FedEx its never the same driver so that bond never happens. I have no issues with UPS deliveries. Too bad about your problems. Maybe a little sugar instead of vinegar will help.

Use to have a GREAT Mail Delivery man, if I was out by the box he and I could talk a few minutes, he always made sure I got my mail. I did leave him candy and a card at valentines day, Christmas card and on hot days stocked a bottle of icy cold water in the box with the flag up for him. He finally got another better route.

I have two suggestions.... and little faith in the first one...but you never know:

1) Modify your sign with a large PLEASE (at the beginning of your request) and a "Thanks, Cary" (at the end of your request).

2) I've been told that the post office in our area offers an email service that tells you when a package has been delivered; at least armed with this alert, you can make the trip to your front gate only when it's necessary.
Comprehension isn’t your strong suit huh?

This is a bunch of crap. I don't know if they are required to bring the package to your doorstep but they should, if they have any sense at all, leave a package where they know that somebody will see it. If a package is signature required or adult signature required then they have to bring it to your door and they have to leave you a notice if they cannot deliver it.

If they're going to ignore the sign in the first place then it doesn't matter if you say please or not. You can put on the sign: take my package to the front porch your lazy sob and it would not make any difference. Because that's essentially what it is: the drivers are too lazy to make an effort. I know they have a lot of packages to deliver but you know what? That's your job. You don't like that job, find another one. Chances are good you won't do that one well either.

My house can't be seen from the road either and my driveway has a fair pitch to it an a slight S curve. At different times of year, UPS and FedEx are hesitant to drive all the way to the house for fear of getting stuck in snow, ice, or mud. Sometimes they will walk a package all the way in, but not always. I'm a FFL and in early 2014, Jan or Feb, a friend ordered a handgun from one of the big online shops and had it shipped to me. I happened to be off work nursing a broken leg at the time. My friend called asking when it would be convenient to come pick up his gun since the tracking info he had showed that it was delivered. Well, I sure hadn't seen it so I hobbled outside and looked around on the porch and found nothing. After looking everywhere and trying to call (I think it was FedEx) and some frustration of going through their voicemail menus from hell, I finally hung up and hobbled out to the car (left leg was broken so I could still sort of drive the automatic) in my Air Cast and crutches and took a slow drive out the driveway. They once left a box on the ground in the middle of the driveway, so I was looking for something like that, Finally spotted the package. It was in a plastic bag tied up in a tree about 15 feet in from the road, light dusting of snow on it. Remember, there was a firearm inside! It was sent signature required but the driver just fudged something and left it hanging there. I have no idea how long it would have been before I got out there and found it had the customer not been following the shipment progress. I was single at the time and my girlfriend (now wife) lived an hour away and had been here the day before to stock me up on groceries, so it probably would have been several days when she came back on the weekend.

Your comprehension is not so strong either. I guess you failed to notice that I'm talking about UPS not the USPS. I have no complaints about the post office. I have USPS Informed Delivery. They email me about deliveries coming that day. They even take pictures of the mail pieces. When it comes to packages they also notify me that a package is due that day and they also notify when a package is delivered.

You also failed to read my post that said I don't get USPS mail at my residence. I have to drive down to a residential mail station to pick up my mail. This mail station also has large lock boxes for packages. Since my original post had nothing to do with the USPS, I guess you just wanted to run your mouth to make me seem like a complete idiot. You've pretty much proved that about yourself, thank you. Stick to the subject.

As far as I can tell , gramps was responding to Johnnu2 's post.
But again, you do like to argue.

They deliver to the house here IF I leave the gate open. There is a not trespass sign on the gate. If the gate is closed they leave it on or in the truck bed toolbox I left down there for the purpose.

I always put "Fragile, live snake eggs. Handle with care." in the directions.

They did not ignore the sign. Sign says no trespassing. Ever see a video where a LEO gives conflicting instructions then feels absolved for his over-correction? We have that here. But CC has proven over and over he thinks he's saying something different than everyone else can see he's saying.

I keep telling you guys that I can't read well..........!!!

UPS...USPS..... I was just trying to cast my pearls like everyone else.... ;)

I don't know where you get that. Obviously that sign for the UPS guy is telling him to drive into the property. Only an idiot would think differently.

Since when does a no trespassing sign apply to delivery drivers?

I sorta read this thread ( lazy and possible poor comprehension )....take a picture of your sign and get in your car and drive
to the UPS hub that serves you. DEMAND to speak to the terminals manager....become a pain in the butt to him for a while,
ask to also speak to the driver's manager...be a pain in the butt to him also.
Your problem will end.

Since when does a no trespassing sign apply to delivery drivers?
Thank you. Some people here just can not comprehend that simple idea. I suppose that if I called for an ambulance I should quickly run out and remove those signs since everyone knows an ambulance can't drive through a "no trespassing" sign.

If a delivery driver won't make a delivery because of a "no trespassing" sign, then he should not be a delivery driver.

Since when does a no trespassing sign apply to delivery drivers?
Ever since I put mine up. If you want it narrowed down then name names. I mean EVERYBODY. No means no, yes you to.

For my neighbor... They throw his out the window as they pass by like a city paper boy.

They all suck, except Amazon delivery. We moved to the country 25 years ago. New address was printed very plainly on the sticker. Driver left a $3000.00 shot gun one the front porch of our former address. Thank God we lived in a small town, and no one took it. I could go on and on about the stupid crap delivery drivers have done. The best was a stupid SOB that turned off our driveway and drove across our yard to throw a package on our front porch because he was afraid of dogs. Right down one of our sprinkler lines. Dog was Llasha Apso. He got fired for that stunt.

You have a sign that says stay away. Which sign would you obey?

Since when does a no trespassing sign apply to delivery drivers?

Guess you have poor comprehension or did not read the replies. Go back and try again. The common citizen equates no trespassing with do not enter. I said that already. The OP has signs with conflicting messages. That is a fact.

Look up the definition of trespass.

"enter the owner's land or property without permission."

It stands to reason that if you have a package to deliver then you have permission to come on to that piece of property.
