Upddated...LCR 22 sight regulation question

I picked up one of these a month ago and have put quite a few different brands and bullet weights of ammo through it. It shoots in varying degrees of low left with all ammo. So my question is, will Ruger tell me 4" low and 3" left at 10 yards is within acceptable standards, or will they help me get it better regulated?

Other than the sight regulation issue it is a great little gun, the trigger got a little sticky/rough on the first range trip, with a tear down and debur of some of the internals and little lube it is a slick shooting little .22.

My LCR 22 shoots to POA.

Now, the trigger on my LCR 22 sucks, bad. Low left is often a case of the shooter, assuming you are right handed. If you are certain its the gun and not you, I would call Ruger as that would be totally unacceptable to me.

Low left = shooter -- at least about 99% of the time. Practice, unloaded dryfire, at a small target, and CONCENTRATE with all you have on keeping that front sight on-target. Things will get better.

Thank you for the replies. I'm pretty sure it's the gun, I shoot a Charter arms 22 pathfinder,.38 under cover and S&W 442 .38, all at least close to point of aim. I suppose it could be the grips, I have dry fired the gun and found it to have a better trigger than all my other shorties, and it seems easy to follow through and maintain good target acquisition throughout the trigger cycle. I'll give it another range trip and see if my grip makes a difference.

I have an email to Ruger, I'll see what they say.

Shot it off the bench, off hand... my cop BIL shot it ...all low left, Ruger had it picked up on Tuesday. Hopefully I'll report excellent sight regulation on the next report.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but yesterday I made my second range trip with my .22 LCR. It shoots low with the three brands of ammo (36 gr HP) I've tried. It shoots about 2 inches low at 7 yd, just slightly higher at 10 yd. I haven't yet fired it at 25 yd, but would expect it to be a little higher (and still low) at that distance. I'm going to try some different ammo. I think standard velocity might shoot a little higher.

I'm not going to lose any sleep yet; I got it for cheap practice for my 38 sp LCR, and it's doing that. If I can't find ammo that will shoot a little higher, I can always take a file to the front sight. That's several hundred rounds away tho', on the off-chance that the problem is the shooter rather than the gun.

I received the LCR yesterday and took it to the range today. Ruger replaced the barrel and sight. They also sent a target back with it showing a fair group low center on a 7.5 yd target. It now shoots point of Aim with most of the ammo I have on hand. Kudos to Ruger repair this time, much better results than with the last two I have sent them.
