my old model flattop had its xr3 gripframe butchered by Bubba trying to mimic a Jack Huntington grip redo. thanks to Robb Barnes and Stan George, i had two proper xr3s in less than a week. the original grip frame always bothered me though. why would somebody do such an atrocious act to one of the most perfect grip frames to come from ruger?
lucky for me one of my best friends is a tig welder and is always glad to help with stuff like this. he built up the missing metal for me and now it is just down to getting a set of fitted grips to fit the frame down. after i get a set of grips, i am going to have it cerakoted black and back on my flattop.
