I saw the latest release of "True Grit" starring Jeff Bridges. I just bought the original version, starring John Wayne. Now we have a third Rooster Cogburn, Steve Call ! I don't know when shooting starts, either gunfire or filming, but you can rest assured, this "Rooster" will be entertaining !

Steve's got the patch over his 'good' eye, trying to tell time with his glass 'mule deer' eye.

I like it Jeff! Nice!!

Hey, did they even show a Rooster cabin in the film? I don't recall seeing one. Unless maybe the one near the creek where Matt Dammon got shot?

I don't remember it either. They went right on the trail after the back room scene at the Chinese business and crossing the river.

It is possible there are extra scenes that were cut.

This is where he kicked the two kids off the porch.

Callshot & Rooster Cogburn look like twins , one of them could shoot (Rooster) & one of them couldn't (Callshot, alias Cantshoot) one of them could ride a horse (Rooster) & one of them would need a seat belt to ride a stick horse (Callshot, alias Cantshoot) but to tell the truth old Callshot is probably more man than any of us in real life
Just don't believe that story of him hitting a water hole offhand at 412 yds 3 out of 5 times.....cause it was actually 7 out of 9!

All right "callshot", you look the part and you got it. I know you might be suffering cabin fever by now. You need to rustle up the other cast of characters for your version of the film. Who will play Mattie ? Ned Pepper ? Le Beuf ? Tom Chaney ? You get the idea !

Maybe you can play all the characters ! Show us how you'd look dressed for all, or some of the roles. That would be interesting ! Let us know what is buzzing around in that head of yours !

Alright now sixshot! I know that you are just trying to jerk my bobber, but I ain't no sucker and I ain't going to bite. :o If I remember it was your head that keeps getting dribbled off the roof of my trusty old Blazer. You could have used the seat belt those times.  Jeff, I am still in negotiations with the screen actors guild for the other parts. There are tooooo many actors (lower quality) that are out of work and they all want a piece of this action. None of them have a red plaid vest, nor can any of them shoot. They are all Hollywood types from the soap opera era. Besides that, my stick horse don't have a seat belt. I think that Fermin ought to be Ned Pepper, and Mike Barranti and Glen Swaggart could fit in where needed. They could bring their red vests and stick horse. If all else fails, I could get the Utah Jazz team to be fill ins. They have all but quit playing b-ball now. I am having to look for something to watch on a cooking channel to fill the long cold nights. :( I can't remember which pill I got (the red one or the yellow one) so everything is buzzing around in my head about now. I might have to cancel this film and go into creative writing for a living. No doubt that Dick will have some comment about me starving to death at that career. :? Steve
