It was rode hard and put up wet BUT still tight lock up with good timing, bore is pitted but it shoots good for a 100 year old gun. made 1909!

Neat old gun, What is the serial # just curious as I collect these old 44's. I own serial # 232, It shipped in 1911 so unless you get a letter from S&W on it you cant be sure about ship dates.

Paul,

You're in TN and so is Bowen Classic Arms. Take it there and you could end up with a work of art; rebore your barrel to .45, chambers re-cut to .45 Colt, fine metal work, CCH hammer and trigger, refurbish or replace your grips...

You've got a great bit of raw material (or a platform) for a nice custom, IMHO.
