Wife and I were on a vacation to Sandestin, FL's sugar white sand and gorgeous water last week.

Wife wanted to browse the outlet mall, I went to the local Bass Pro Shops. Asked the gun counter guy if their idiotic rule of triggers being locked, you cannot under any circumstance try a trigger before buying was still in force. It is.

This legend in his own mind said it was no big deal, all factory triggers are "trash" and he always replaces them. I'm somewhat assuming he's referring to rifles, not revolvers for example.

Some rifles like MILSPEC ARs have somewhat gritty triggers and I installed a Timney on an FN AR I had and it made a huge difference.

My Ruger No. 1 in .458 Win has what I consider a perfect trigger and that's the way it came from the factory. My Mini30 has a better stock trigger than the AR did. My SP101 despite detractors has a nice smooth DA trigger and rather crisp SA trigger. Don
