Trade your sr1911 for what other modern handgun?

I was sitting here thinking, "what gun would I trade my sr1911 for?". Then I decided to limit to other handguns. Then I decided to limit it to other modern handguns? This was an effort to keep the topic from exploding with million dollar antiques and discussions of 50 cal snipers.

I got thinking about the guys I shoot with and the handguns they bring to the range, and I could not think of any of their handguns I would trade my sr1911 for. I got thinking about modern handguns in general and could not come up with one that I would want to trade for. There are plenty I would like to own or even just shoot, but none I would give up my "honey" for.

Anyone else?

People are getting out of control with these SR1911's. Anyone who wouldn't trade their SR1911 for an equivalent Colt 1911 or any other gun worth more money is lying. Ruger makes great guns but they are mostly value guns these days. Would I trade my stainless Colt 1911 or stainless Sig P226 Elite 9mm for a SR1911? Hell no...

I do have a stainless Ruger Mark III Hunter and a stainless Ruger Mark III Target. I would trade the Ruger Mark III Target for a SR1911 but that is about it.

Thanks for all the replies. I still would keep my sr1911 as a great working, not afraid to fire, non-safe queen instead of trading. I would love to own a lot of the guns listed by you folks, and hopefully will one of these days.

Interesting thread. The only 1911 I own is my SR1911. In this case I wouldn't trade it for ANYTHING other than another 1911. If this is the case with others and you will NEVER have the money to by another gun, I can definitely understand holding on to your SR1911. That being said, I personally would only trade for another 1911 of higher build quality, accuracy, and reliability.

Right now the CZ Dan Wesson Valor, in either the black duty finish or stainless, is in my sights! Pun intended. It seems to be of superior build quality. All forged stainless steel 70 series, all hand fitted by one person from beginning to end, and only 200 made per year. Not quite a build to order custom 1911, but also not an assembly line mass produced 1911.

Don't get me wrong I REALLY like my SR1911. It's a SWEET shooter, smooth as butter, and VERY accurate. But if something better should come along in another 1911, I'd concider trading.
