Today's outing....

Beautiful fall day today. We, Nita and I, took my two sisters for a drive. We left Memphis and drove up to Galaway, Tennessee, maybe thirty miles from Memphis, and had lunch at Slingshot Charlie's. My sisters and I had hamburger steak, while Nita had the fried chicken livers. Also had fried okra, fried green tomatoes, mashed potatoes w/ gravy. Desert was hot fudge brownie with vanila ice cream and chocolate fudge sauce. After lunch hopped into the Jeep, well, as much as four senior citizens can hop into anything, and drove down some country roads. Got a few shots of an abandoned house, then just drove, following the Jeep's grill. Got home just after after 3:00 pm.

Just too nice a day to sit home and do chores!

Bob....Me and Ms. Lefty had us a super high cholesterol lunch as well, just yesterday at the 50s dinner in Social Circle, GA Hambugers, fried onion rings, fries and a shake from the soda fountain !!!! We skipped dinner that night and just had fruit snack before bed, oh man.....

Sounds like a wonderful way to spend a day ! We do "mystery trips". No planned agenda or maps allowed.

Both in flour. For cornmeal, it's a do-it-yourself thing.
