the gun has a bunch of HK accessories...PSG1 trigger, sling, ejection port buffer, bipod, adjustable cheek rest

First...I need to go check my long term storage safe! (I have one similiar)

NICE setup.

I bought mine back in the 80's but never got the scope right and thus it went into storage

how did your scope zero?

My scoping problem was the claw mount has the ring bores exactly parallel to the barrel bore. With the zero elevation "adjustment" with the Kahles Z-84 ranging scope, to zero the scope used most the ranging.

I was hoping I could have found someone that knew how to adjust the H&K mount to about 20MOA, but never did. since the Z-84 was 26mm tube, I did have some offset inserts made.

I'm in CA and have to make do with the PTR version. Nice enough gun and I've "HK'd" it as much as I can with furniture, bipod, claw mount, deflector and clipped metal lower. I can't bring myself to drop about $500.00 on a Hensoldt, but I did find a German scope with the same post reticle.

Can you tell me where you got the "trigger shoe"?

I agree. The HK 91 is a fine rifle. Just prior to king obama being elected, I found a mint 91A2 and bought it. Wanted one since i was a kid and decided to pull the trigger, no pun intended. No regrets. Enjoy the rifle.
