Just picked up my PC Carbine chassis model today. Question is I have a Burris 2-7 x 32 long eye relief scope that I don’t use on anything anymore. How do you think that would work on the PC Carbine.. the scope is half the cost of the rifle lol. If not I’ll just stick to original plan of ordering the Sig Sauer Tango 1-6 x 24 LPVO.

That isn't something I'd put on that carbine, even if you are able to mount it far enough forward for the LER.

It's a 9MM not a 5.56 so I'd recommend fitting the optic to the cal and intended use. I put a Leupold Freedom RDS on mine. Very quick target acquisition. I basically just blast plates at 25 and 50 yds....and lob some out at the 100yd 12" hanging gong now and then.

Does he actually have to with a 9mm carbine?.....he isn't using it to hunt prairie dogs...;)

If he’s only shooting at short range like 25 or 50 a red dot is fine. Out to 100, depending upon his interests, a red dot is pretty small. With my Romeo 5 G2 and it’s 2 MOA dot I can hit my 8” gong fairly consistently but just can’t see my 6” gong. And at 1X and 2 MOA dot you can’t shoot any 100 yard groups for yugo to determine what ammo you want to run. So, to me, it certainly matters his intended distances and usages.

I also tried my 1-4x LPVO at 100 yards (on a different rifle). It had plenty of magnification for my 100 yard steel plinking but I felt the scope was limiting me in shooting groups to find the best load. So to answer the OP’s original question perhaps that 2-7x scope is a good option as he can dial it back to lower magnification if he’s running a steel match.

I don't think that gun has enough rail on it to use his Burris 2-7 x 32 long eye relief scope, that scope is made to be positioned way forward on the barrel not over the receiver where this rail is

Ummm. Yeah it's a 9MM carbine....not really intended for 100yd work. Which was the point of my post. Yes you "can" hit 100yd targets with a 9MM but who buys a 9MM carbine for that?

As for a steel match that 2-7 is a lot of scope to ride on top. A RDS is more suited that purpose.

That was mentioned in post #2

I did and it is working great. More fun and power than my 22lr, half the cost per trigger pull of my AR. 2 to 3 MOA and I’m able to hit most of my various targets. Plus I can shoot the carbine at shorter distances any time I want.

Sounds a bit like personality disorder.....:ROFLMAO:

I remember taking a course with a portion called "Tools & Correct Uses"......the instructor called it "Common Sense 101".

I throw some lead at 100yd steel with my PC9 sometimes just goofing around. But the RDS is zeroed for the weapons intended use of 0-50 yds. There are better tools for 100yd steel.
