Today’s society (or lack thereof)

Leaving grocery store, heard the increasing whine of rice burner car, then caught glimpse of one of those small “bread trucks” flying (Oh, I mean no wheels on the ground!) past the store drive way entrance.

An older full size pickup was across both lanes as if pulling into the parking lot. I think a glancing blow to the truck bumper sent the car flying (but I didn’t see)
What I did was a young white male jump out of truck running towards the other car, yelling “are you OK”

Then the crowd of young female shoppers, most with baby on hip and several in tow going towards yelling “BEAT HIM UP” there were at least 10 surrounding the young man. WTH, they had no concern for the car driver, they just saw a white man. Cell phones were being shoved in his face then running to get truck tag pictures.

LUCKILY an off duty Police (I think he was) was there in minute and escorted the man back, then tried to disperse the crowd. A couple minutes later, before Police arrived, a group of man’s “friends” (maybe even Father) were there so I left.

Lack of "personal responsibility" is the major issue. Folks who were raised to be responsible and learned from that experience are mostly OK. Those who grew up in an environment of "not your fault, participation prizes, and no losers" are more often inconsiderate adults.

Years ago I was in the parking lot of a market and saw a guy back in to a parked car and just started to drive off laughing, I hollered and he gave me the finger so I got his license # and make of auto and put a note on the parked car with my name and phone # about 3 days later I got a phone call from the owner of the damaged car asking if I would go to court with him. I SAID YES but nothing else never came of it.

I witnessed a hit and run one time. Both cars were totaled and the guy who was hit was driving a rental car. I had, for no reason at all, written down the license number of the other guy's car.
Never heard a word, so the guy must have gone to court and plead guilty. Yes, the police were called.

I assume the OP is referring to a car made by an Asian car company, like Toyota or Honda or the like. I haven't a clue what he means by "bread truck". I will say that when I hear dumb phrases used like "rice burner" the credibility of the speaker/writer drops about 80% in my estimation. I have been a motorcycle rider most of my life, and have constantly heard the moronic disparagement of Japanese motorcycles by those that think they are something special, and superior because they ride a Harley Davidson. I have nothing against Harley, even though I find them clumsy, overpriced and poorly performing motorcycles that cannot even come close in reliability and quality of build to the major Japanese manufacturers. I put the phrase "rice burner" in the same category whether applied to motorcycles or cars.

I've been riding motorcycles for over fifty years. I've owned both American and Japanese, along with a few other makes. They all have their qualities. It's not what you ride, it's that you do ride.

If they down shift and get up into a smooth rpm band it would sound better even if still LOAD
