Recently, I sent a check and related request form for 3 letters, 2 of which were to be for early-production 3 screw SBHs.
The letters arrived, written for flat top Blackhawks, not Super Blachawks as I had wanted. In all honesty, more than a few weeks had passed since I had received my 3 letters... I let it fall off my list of priorities. Life happens, right?

So yesterday, remembering this unfinished business, I called Ruger. After speaking with one very professional woman who took my number, I figured I might end up resending funds when I request a letter for my recently-purchased SRM.

Not more than 2 or 3 hours passed and I received the call-back from "Linda" in Connecticut.
I explained the issue and she had me wait a minute while she retrieved my letters request form.
Wouldn't you know it?... I had not indicated SUPER Blackhawk on my request form, only the caliber. Without the slightest hesitation, Linda said the new letters would mail before week's end. I couldn't get the mea culpa out fast enough!

I like to think I'm a meticulous person, and I certainly recognize the different Ruger nomenclatures. Still, I goofed.* Yet, in not even the slightest way did Linda assume a superior tone -and she accommodated me without balking.
She reinforced for me the merits of a great American firearms maker.

I'm not sure if any influential Ruger employees frequent this site. But if you do, please tell Linda with "Letters"/Customer Service that Bill in Round Rock, TX appreciates her work.

*When it was clear I hadn't put enough detail on my request form, I offered to mail another check... Linda said no need.

I keep hearing the great customer service at Ruger. I have called to ask questions in the past and yes, they are very professional and courteous. It does make me wonder if any one in the management reads this forum. If they do I bet some of the threads that end up in arguements gets a good laugh.

But I'm glad it all worked out for ya.

This has nothing to do with revolvers but has to do with Ruger's customer service. A few weeks ago i called to determine the threading for plug screws for my Gunsite Scout after I removed the Picatinny rail. I knew they weren't #6-48 or #6-32 since nothing I had fit. The nice lady told me they had the screws as an accessory and would send me out a pack. I asked how much and was told, no charge! BTW, they are #6-40 if anyone asks.

I've heard nothing but good things about Ruger CS, even to the point where they have replaced damaged guns with new ones.

Tip - I know you like Super Blackhawks & Blackhawks. I've posted my old 3 screw .357 before (bought it new in 1968 and still have the box & sleeve which are in near perfect shape), but just picked up this new SBH from a recently opened little gun shop - "Saddle Rock Armory" - on 620 next to the Shell Station by Cornerwood (Brushy Creek):

That's amazing to me (that after all these years, you still have the original box & sleeve so well kept).
And, very nice NM you have, Armybrat!

What's amazing? You put it in the same place as all your other boxes and it sits there. If you move, it and all the other boxes go with you to their new place and again they sit there, til you're ready to sell the gun.

Great anecdote on Ruger CS!
Thx,

I didn't say it was amazing.

My handgun boxes have always been stored in a larger cardboard box on a closet shelf in my A/Conditioned house, so they are all in nice shape.
The only two handgun boxes I have that are ratty - one came with a used gun, so no telling how it was treated, and the other was acquired from my brother who kept it in a hot Texas attic for 35 years (the Colt SAA was kept in his safe).
