have the :poop: 's? I have had the sh...ts for about four months now. Doc is trying things, colonoscopy today. Passed that one with no issues. Haven't changed what we eat or anything else I can think of. Wondering what the deal is. Wife is selling her land to her siblings through an LLC agreement (shares), and there have been some issues. None of the siblings wants to farm it, so they are having to sell land to fund her share sale to them. Not well appreciated by them. I'm the only one of the greater family that has any experience with land use, parcel sales, attorney issues, etc. and have had to guide the whole process incognito so to speak, since they REALLY don't want me involved.

Can stress cause the sh...ts? What are your thoughts.

Wait, wait, wait.....the guy with TURD as his handle........doesn't know everything there is to know......about turds?? What's next? Cats & dogs running together?

But seriously, I've had knowledge of family & friends with no lack of gastrointestinal issues over the decades & I can't remember a case where it wasn't attributed to some form of bowel infection or them simply no longer being able to tolerate a food or drink that they've partaken of most of their lives. Those folks dropped a particular food or drink at a time until they figured it out. The stress issues that relate to bowel movements that I've heard of from folks at work manifested as constipation, but I suppose it's possible that it's causing your symptoms. If your M.D. can't figure it out right quick, I'd get his & other trusted referrals to a gastroenterologist. If it is diagnosed as stress & that's not going anywhere for a while, a prescription of Xanax or Valium (or similar) may be in order. If you're hesitant about taking those, consider discussing CBD with your M.D. Many people have had great results from them.

OF COURSE....!!!!
It can also "cause" hemorrhoids, severe skin rashes, bone and/or muscle pain, weight loss/gain; and those are just the GOOD side effects. Then you got your basic heart attack, stroke, general malaise etc etc etc
BAD JUJU......

I believe stress can contribute. If you passed the colonoscopy without an issue that is good.

I was hospitalized for 3 days about 20 years ago because my colon was infected & swollen shut on itself. I had been hurting for about a week and a half before I went to the doctor. I thought it was because I had to do something at work where the only way I could reach what I needed to do was by laying with all my weight on my stomach & working with both hands for a little bit. The pain started the next day. Long story short they diagnosed me with Crohn's Disease. I jumped through their hoops & did what they asked for the next six months then the doctor told me to return as needed. I haven't been back sense. When things act up with me I tend to stop up. A daily dose of magnesium can keep this from happening. I'll say a prayer for you to recover from whatever is coming against your body.

Giardia intestinal infection can also be a cause. I had that, it's long since over now.

When I was seriously burned in the wildfire 11/2/22, I ended up in a burn unit 120 miles away. Lying on the exam table, I felt an uncontrollable 'urge' and told the nurse I REALLY needed to go.
Not just once but three times before there was nothing left. YES, it's possible to have the :poop: scared out of you. At that point, I wasn't 'scared' but obviously my body was in full stress reaction mode.
I suppose any real life stress could have similar results.

I had the same problem. My internist wanted me to take a Magnesium supplement because I was low. No doctor has ever told me that there are several different kinds of Magnesium pills available. Neither do online Medicine references like WebMD or Mayo Clinic. I was taking Magnesium Citrate, probably the most common. In liquid form, it used to be used in Colonoscopy prep. That should tell you something. Magnesium Glycinate is less common, but much better absorbed. It also is much easier on the lower GI. Once I learned this I switched to Mag. Glycinate. END OF PROBLEM! Good luck. It's a miserable problem.
