The pistol never made it to market. There were some problems that prevented its release. I'm no ballistician, but I think it had something to do with pressure or pressure curves, and bolt weight.

I'm sure someone else can give more clarification.

What makes it fun as opposed to the .22lr chambered one? With everyone complaining about ammo costs, why buy this platform in a more costly chambering than the .22lr?

I'd buy one to dispatch critters. The tiny bullets, excellent penetration, yet most likely no exiting would make it a safer round to use in confined areas where I may need to shoot an offending critter.

IN any case, if they would have sold them and made landmark sales, marketing would've most likely stopped production already!

Still, a 10/17H2 with a 16.5" smooth barrel would've been welcome in my collection!
