The rolling basket type work great on a hard deck floor, pretty good on hard ground and even work some in grass. Soft loose sand like my range they're about 50/50. Half gets picked up, half gets pushed under.

We got one of the brass wands and it works great at the local gun range with concrete floors.

On a concrete or wood floor I'll just stick to old fashion way a push broom and dust pan work fine and a lot faster.
