They are taking over. I'm down to 18 guns and Ruger is winning - even after I sold 3 10-22s and my Mini 14. But, I have to admit the last one leaving this list is the German Weatherby and maybe grandpa's Colt Pocket Auto that he bought new. The Weatherby was my grail gun. In 1972 with a new baby and mediocre job that took me past Weatherby in South Gate on a regular basis I had to stop and look about once a month. By the time I could afford one they had moved production to Japan and I lost interest. In 1982 I started working in downtown LA now with a 10 year old kid and better paying job. I drop in on Pachmayer to look and sitting on the consignment rack is a left handed German MKV unfired with the tags still on it. At $675 I almost hurt myself getting out my checkbook. It even came with a Weatherby variable scope and Weatherby hard case. OK the Super Blackhawk will never leave either. The wife scrimped and saved all year and bought it for me on our first anniversary.
