I have been looking around for an older Ruger Standard for a while and I finally found one. NIB with all the original factory papers. It's somewhere around a '70 or '71 model. With the old style A54 grips. It looked even better when it actually showed up to my door. So I'm pretty proud to add another old Ruger to the family

Congrats, but your image link does not work. Missed on an old ratty MK1 couple years ago for cheap, had it in my hands, regret not getting it now days.

Congrats on your, "new to you" Standard. I got my very first Ruger pistol in 1967. I wasn't old enough to purchase the 6-7/8 Heavy Tapered Target model, so my Dad had to sign off on the 4473 form. Unfortunately that one was stolen in a burglary a few years later, but in 1971 I was old enough to buy this one.

This is what I call the very FIRST Ruger "Lite" model and if I hold steady enough, it still shoots very well.

I didn't realize my image link didn't work until I read one of the replies (Thank you!). So here is a link that should work. I'm still really proud of this purchase

SWEET package! However, the manual shows a date of 1980 if I read it right. What's the serial number so we can nail down the year? (Example; 11-123xx)
