My wife said she saw on facebook that the "old man" on Pawn Stars ( or whatever the name of that show is ) died.
He sure was a grumpy old fart.

Yes Mr. Harrison passed away recently. You have to understand that it is a scripted show and the customers audition to be on the show and the prices are agreed upon before hand. He was asked to play "a Grumpy Old Man" he was well liked in real life. After retiring from a Navy career he started the pawn shop and turned it into a silver mine. I love the show, especially the antique weapon sales, but remember it's a scripted show and everyone is acting.

The "Old Man" was a native of Kanapolis,North Carolina.This town is in the mountains near Asheville,NC.

He was 77 years old; I'M 77 Years old and I'M NOT a "grumpy old fart"; Maybe a "slightly irritated old Lady", or a "misunderstood elderly person" , BUT most probably someone who is going to her grave with a BIG GRIN on her face !!

Pamela, I'm 65, medically retired and have been through a lot in the last three years. I qualify as a grumpy old fart. I too, will have a big grin on my face when they drag my cold dead body from this house!

Correction: Kannapolis is NE of Charlotte on US 29 or I-85---I have been there, unfortunatly---that place is adequately adequate. And that is my damnation, by faint praise, of Kannapolis.

Seriously though, I hate to hear that he died, because it is like I knew him. When you watch people on TV, you get to feel that you know them, even when you don't.
