So last night I went to the wife's bosses October bbq. He has a ranch out of town a ways. They sold one long horn so there are only three. Paris, Dodge, and Colt. Paris is the light colored one with the sticky tongue. Anyway here are some pictures. The food was, well...no comment, let's say the bbq grill was overkill in this situation.

And M657, if you get a digital camera, perhaps the feature I absolutely love best is the close up macro settings. This camera I have now is awesome. The lichen picture, the lens barrel was just a fraction of an inch from the rock.

Hi,

Looks like a great day was had by all, Kevin. That's quite the rig the boss has, too. All those pictures are good: the grasshopper on the barrel cactus is neat, while that last one of LTC (Lovely Travel Companion) is priceless. Kinda reinforces my earlier idea that when she turns 16, Daddy better have several guns out on the kitchen table for cleaning! At all times...

Rick Thanks, You got that right too about when she turns 16. Kids these days though I better start clean at 15.

That bull Paris, she tried to eat my camera and some bull slobber got on the lens. I carry lens cleaning wipes.

Here is one more picture. When it is low light, these cameras don't do so well. You do get some neat unintended effects, Here is one example. The shadow off her elbow is what gets me?

I totally agree with all said above. Lovely young lady. I told both my now sons-in-law, prior to their becoming such, that I had a large collections of guns and if they behaved themselves they would never see them.

It was a lot of fun. Thanks for all the nice compliments. As far as the guns. Well, Since it was a family/company bbq...Well another time. You know how guns in the workplace are these days, especially my wife's company. Unless you work in a gun store that is.

Kevin: Is this guy fairly wealthy? If so he should really think about getting rid of that perty lime green tree over colt's head. I have them but I can't afford to get rid of them. As you surely know that is a medium grown mesquite and will put out a few thousands seeds. They will then propagate forever and ever just like they have for thousands of years. :shock: Just so he knows that perty tree will create havoc for ever. Little growths everywhere and they are not good shade trees, they are good BBQ trees though. In my neck of the woods they are good for flats.
