Can anyone tell me what I can expect to pay for a used, but well cared for press?

I'd say, as a rough guess-timate, at about 1/2 of new, depending on brand and type of press.

Personally, I'd just go ahead and buy a new one if I had to pay more than that.

I take it you're not familiar with the Texan.

Hi,

It's been a while since I've seen a Texan turret for sale, but I seem to remember they were a bit pricey. Dunno if that reflects quality or nostalgia?

Anyway, I'd guess about 1/2 the price of one of the "big name" turrets (RCBS, Lyman, Redding?) might be a fair price, IF you like the Texan better than something like the Lee Classic Cast turret, which is probably about that same price NEW, and carries pretty good reviews... ;)

Just guessin', you know?

Don't know what they go for, but they're hell for stout.

My Father-in-Law gave one to me, very cool old press.
