I just bought a tang safety 06. I read in the manual about the trigger adjustment, and saw the warning from Ruger about the over travel screw that needs to be replaced? I am wondering if the trigger can be adjusted to less pull without problems? the manual says to only increase weight not decrease which is what you would expect from the manufacture.
Thanks

You will likely find you can get a bit less pull but will need a spring replacement to get it much lower. They are a great trigger IME and can be worked to a very crisp and safe let off.

Trigger jobs on tang safety M77s are easy to do. Any gunsmith can slick one up for you, or you can do it easy yourself with just a little info.
