Tang safety black pad

I've found a 338,22/250 varmint barrel, and 7mm magnum as new with boxes. All are tang safeties, but they have black butt pads. What are these things worth? Thanks

Many tang safety M77's have black pads. The change happened in the 771- or 772- prefix range. I don't know if any of the OP's rifles are rare, but around here the black pad rifles do not command a premium over red pad rifles. That 77 RS in 358 was a limited run so it should have sold at a premium.

If they are all like my 270 win. I would prefer the black pad. It had a more slender forend than my red pad versions. Had because an employee knocked off a counter and the stock broke. It know wears a refinished wide forend stock with a ton of figure in the wood.
