T512-W ?

I picked up what I believe to be a Ruger Mark I Target with walnut target stocks. Included is the original box and instructions. All things considered about a 98% gun. Has the "Inc" in the barrel address and Micro adjustable rear sight. Serial number dates to 1967, but I guess I should get a letter from Ruger to confirm the date and model. I believe it is a T512-W. A few pics.....

If it will letter as being shipped from the factory with Walnut grips then it is a T512W. And I might add that is a super nice package. Well done.

No! The T512s with small sized serial numbers were from 307487 to 309678 with one, with serial number 240182 which was the prototype that was shipped through normal distribution channels. There were only about 2300 of the small size serial numbered T512s made. They are hard to find. Information comes from the RENE

Gosh I had one that was non prefix in the shiper that was marked with walnut grips....had a friend that wanted one so I shared my good stuff....he shared his $$$ :lol: :lol: :lol: RR.
 
I shot this pistol last night, and man what a great shooter! :D I do like some of the features of the MKII better, but as far as function and accuracy, it will be hard to beat this pistol! :wink:
