Swamp cooler

Was getting the swamp cooler all set to start running again. I decided to put in a new float as well as new pads. I had two new floats in my storage shed. These were the plastic kind that I've always used. I put one in and screwed around with it trying to get it to shut off without leaking and finally gave up. I tried the other new one and went through the same thing. Both brand new and no good.

I went on Amazon right away and ordered one of the metal bodied ones. Got it today and put it in and it worked great with no screwing around with it. Those plastic ones are cheap but they've always worked for me before, but for me, no more plastic.
