SW Night Guard 45 ACP

They are in production and available at Bud's and other dealers. I have no experience with one.

A post on the S&W Forum I read yesterday said they were now discontinued in all Models. I have a 310NG and really like it. I believe the problem was the added expense. If they had been around $200 cheaper it would not have hurt a thing.

They discontinued probably the best one of the Night Guard Series right off the bat. That was the 315 Night Guard. This was a 6 shot, 38 Special +P, K Frame, with 2.5" Barrel, XS 24/7 Tritium Front Sight, and the Cylinder & Slide Extreme Duty Rear sight. The 315NG was the right size to be very Shootable, and Light enough to carry well. This was probably the best Lady's Concealed Carry revolver ever offered in my opinion.

I did not know they cut the whole line, I knew there were a few that were cut and that is why finding a 310 has been so difficult for me :)

Just confirming they are history. Haven't been on their website in months. Might still be a few in the pipeline, but it would be hard to say which ones.

I have one and really like it. I had heard they were going to stop making these due to poor sales, which I understand due to the high price. They are kind of a niche gun, but mine shoots well and I carry mine, I have to say I get a good feeling knowing there is a lot of whoopass on my hip. Try to shoot one if you want to buy. A few friends didnt care for mine due to the recoil. I dont mind it but they are expensive to later find out it's not for you.

Agreed. The 315NG was a great carry piece. I have a friend who carries one and he lets me shoot it occasionally. He had a slight problem with the ejector rod unscrewing, but a tiny dab of clear nail polish fixed it. It is his EDC piece. Too bad they discontinued it.
