Survivor on TV

By demand of the "Grouch Attack", Survivor will be on TV every week from now until the end of season. I guess that's OK BUT while the show's on she's sitting in her rocker PLAYING ON HER PHONE. Not watching the show, just staring at the screen of her phart phone. I can't escape the show since my "office" backs up to the TV and I'm still working. The best I can do is pull the hearing aid and lower the TV's volume until she complains.
Maybe I should get another TV for "her bedroom" so she can enjoy in privacy.

That's what I did. Made a nice little man cave in the basement.

The Mrs. And I have ZERO in common when it comes to TV programming. She watches all the reality stuff, Survivor, Real Housewives, Amazing Race, Oscars, Grammy, Emmy, those shows where they compete singing and the list goes on.

I watch channels like Discovery, History, Outdoor Network, SyFy, FOX Sports, AMC, Science, Nat Geo, some channels with old Westerns, etc.

I try hard to avoid drama in my life, I sure don't want to experience what others put themselves through.

Maybe but probably not. I used to have ear buds that plugged into my flip phone so I could keep up with tele-conferences.

When our (only 5-6 yr old) TV went out about a year ago the wife (36+ yrs) and I both agreed to throw it right in the trash

We did and never looked back
No TV, no commercials, no noise, no fake shows

The wife and I both like Mountain Men and westerns. Outside of that I watch Fox and she plagues me with those home remodel shows and the Hallmark channel which I hate.

Truthfully, I couldn't stand the boredom of bad weather days w/o a TV. TV and internet costs me around $100/month so I intend to get my money's worth.

I watch a lot of TV, especially since about two months ago when I bought myself a new Sony 65 inch flatscreen for the living room. Sometimes my wife does not want to watch what I want to watch, so I turn off the TV speaker and listen through wireless headphones. She can sew, or knit, or read or whatever and I can watch my shows. But I can't imagine having only the one TV. There are just the two of us at home, and we have three nice TV's, with ones in our bedroom and in the downstairs family room in addition to my new big one in the living room. For anything really violent, where just the images on the screen would upset my wife, I just go to one of the other TV's and leave the living room to her. Works out fine for us.

We haven't watched any TV in years. We occasionally get a movie from Netflix.

I am laid up recuperating from a hip replacement and other stuff. I would go nuts if we didn't have tv and computers and admit it. I never seen tv until I was twelve years old.
