People are paying that much for .30's? I always saw them going for less than any other Old Model, usually under $300, kinda the red-headed stepchild.

Early production run old model 4 digit with box in very good condition, I'd say the advertised price would be on the upper end but a desirable addition to a collectors hoard. And Cabelas usually has a bit of negotiating room built in. I'd be surprised if they didn't sell it for about a hundred less.

I've found some decent pric s on the Cabela's gun library. Thanks when I call he store the person at the gun counter is generally honest about the condition or whatnot.

I also agree, $629 does seem like a good price for an OM in that condition. I almost never see any Blackhawk in any condition for less than $300. Local gun store or otherwise.
