I just wanted to share some of this great stuff, here is some of the rarest Ruger Paper work I have ever seen....

late 1960 Ruger Deer Stalker promotion paper work, Introducing the Deer Stalker Rifle to the world.
Gun Shop Folder, 16 page owners book and the Deer Stalker insert....

All stating Deer Stalker.....Its the only one I have EVER SEEN!..........Enjoy......Scott

So the Deerstalker was Ruger's first production rifle? I never much thought about it or looked it up, but sort of assumed the 10/22 was.
That is a nice collection of paperwork.

In 1993 or 1994 I spoke with Rex King who was Ruger's toolmaker/parts fabricator beginning about 1952. One of the interesting things he told me was that about 6 months previous he trashed all of his engineering notes on the .44 Deerstalker/Carbine. Those as well as the notes he had on Baby Nambu that Bill Ruger designed.
I guess its all just paper to those people.
