Super Bowl, what where you thinking?

I can't believe the last few plays, I cannot believe it. After that incredible catch I simply cannot believe they didn't just let lynch waltz it in. Unreal.

Yep. I agree Scott. I simply don't understand that at all. He has the most yards after contact in the league.

I also have to tip the cap to Bill for not calling a timeout and letting them play it out.

A gift from Seattle to New England! Who in the heck made the call to throw the ball on the one yard line with Lynch in the backfield?? Shocking!

With time on the clock and a time out left, you don't run Lynch from inside the 1...........stupidest call ever. Classic case of a coach trying to be "too" smart. Sure, everybody knows Lynch is getting it.......so what.........no way they would have stopped him from there, because he could have had 3 cracks. You lose the Super Bowl because Lynch can't get in from the 1, so be it.........but to do THAT.......no way

Wait now, Seattle CALLED the play...New England MADE the play.

Seattle didn't GIVE New England anything.

And, I didn't care who won the game.

Well, they did and they didn't............YES, the rook made a great play........BUT, that was just a terrible call when you have Marshawn Lynch from the one and 3 trys to get it in. The announcers and I am sure everybody in the stadium, felt the touchdown was a "given". Would have just been a matter of how much time Brady had left to do something...........and then BAM, games over. Just crazy

Now I could have cared less who won..........once the Packers lost........but still, if you gonna lose, do it with your "best" guy doing what he "does"

I'm glad that is over. I got tired of hearing that "The boil is on such-and-such yard line."

Announcers: The word is ball, pronounced as bawl and has nothing to do with a boil.

NW fan here ........ stunned at the last play!

At least it was a relatively competitive game ........ New England mopped the field using the Seahawks for a while with Seattle's defense doing what they could with many out over injuries ....... and our offense finnally kicked in ......... after the great catch that set Seattle up at the end zone .......... it looked like New England was toast!

And then the great boo boo!

Hawks did not deserve to be IN that game anyway, when G.B. literally handed them the game
They kicked the Hawks rears for 55 minutes in every way on the field, then literally gave up in the last 5 minutes with stupid calls & suddendly the mighty "Hawks" were in the Super Bowl

Now Karma bites them back with a stupid call. they can think on this one for awhile

Once GB gave up, I was not for either team but the better team won

Pete (or some play caller) overthank that call
EVERYONE expected them to run, so we'll juke them with a quick pitch which was not to be since Butler was at the right place

Personally I would have ran it 3x

It is a game of trying to out-think the other team. It appears as though they out-thought themselves.

The game is a chess match, and many of those plays happen throughout the year.

On that day, the better team won, or the one that was supposed to win did so.

Doesn't make the Seahawks any less of a team, they are a great team. Should be proud of themselves. Just wasn't their day.

Both teams are at the bottom of my list. Pats are cheaters & hawks owner is an avid anti gun promoter & Bloomberg donator. Both loosers.

I'm not a fan of "professional" sports and didn't even watch the game. However, if our high school football coach made a call like that in that situation he'd be back to teaching English full time next season. That has to be one of the dumbest, if not THE dumbest, call ever made in the game.

I was yelling, "give it to Lynch, he deserves the win". ...oh well.
It's a team sport. All of the players on both teams deserved the win.

As in most any sport, there can only be one champion in the end. It's the Patriots, this time. Heck of a game.

Scoring four touchdowns against the best ranked defense in the league is noteworthy. 14 unanswered points in the 4th quarter speaks well of both the offense and the defense of the Patriots. The best team made the most correct plays and won the game. No controversy, no questionable calls by the refs, no cheating, no crowd/fan noise advantage. Just a well played game all around.

Now, can we get ourselves ready for baseball? Only 16 days 'til pitchers and catchers report. Go Giants!

Carroll's own arrogance did him in.

I'm over the thuggery, the arrogance, the mugging to the camera in mid game, before you've finished your job (Sherman).

I think Carroll and company chose, to feature Russell Wilson in the big moment, and instead of accepting the blessing of the luckiest catch ever, they let their arrogance sink them.
There is merit in that line of thinking. We'll never really know, though.

I'll add my thoughts to this post, ( I'm a NE fan ) I watched the Packers lose their game to the Seahawks, which in my mind was unreal, as so many things had to happen for the hawkes to win, they had to have all the good luck on their side that day. This luck seemed to continue with the catch caught by the reciever after having been tipped and bounced around like a pinball till he latched on to it laying on his back. I had for all but given up hope now for NE to be able to stop Lynch from pounding it in. Then big mistake pass play happens, thats when I said; "their luck has run out" Would have liked seen a more convincing win for the Pats, but I'll take it, as it takes a little sting out of loss to the Gaints, that spoiled a perfect season.
