I visited Europe in 1991. I tried to drink every beer brand I could find. Well, just Germany alone has a brewery in every village so that quest was virtually impossible.
What I did find out though was that beer from just about any country in Europe was 100 times better than anything American (at that time).
Somehow American beer factories weren't making good beer. Plus the alcohol content was far less than than European beers.
While in London I developed a taste for "English bitter" beer.
The only American beer that I have found that actually tastes good is Yuengling & Son, Inc., in Pottsville, PA which is the oldest continuously running brewery in America.

That said, I find Budweiser to be disgusting to the palate. Never touch the stuff. Great commercial tho.
I was in Antwerp, Belgium. Do not order "french fries". That pisses them off. You order pomme frites.
Also no ketchup. Most Europeans eat fries with mayonnaise.
I had a Belgian turn and correct me regarding french fries. I was standing in line at a Belgian fast food place talking to my friend about what to eat. I don't think he liked Americans.
This Belgian dude was not happy LOL.
If you like waffles, those damn things are sold everywhere, on the streets, shops.

My issue is the Patriotic nature of the commercial. They think we are stupid.
My second go to...here in PA if you want a Yuengling at the bar you just say "Lager" and that is what you get.....if you haven't toured the original brewery in Pottstown you need to. I have several bungs from there....I heard they stopped giving samples at the end though. The workers had their own bar for after work and that is where the tour ended....with samples. I do love their Black & Tan as well as the original Lager.

I think the commercial is OK. I just wish it was something more believable.

The fact that Budweiser is foreign owned. It rubs me wrong they lean so heavily into our Patriotism to line their pockets. Just me being fickle.

We were in Ireland a few years ago, and almost every pub we visited had American Coors Light on tap and Bud in a longneck bottle. The Bud was brewed in London and tasted more like Coors Banquet than American Bud. The Coors Light was imported from Colorado. A bartender told me the Coors was quite popular with the ladies, and they would go through several kegs a weekend. The Bud confused me, but he said there was a trend in the younger drinkers towards a lighter beer. We laughed when I told him that the trend was just the opposite in America.
