I'm assuming you are asking what the barrel length is on the gun? Hard to tell. But I doubt it's factory.
Too short.

I'd guess 5".

It looks to be cut to the same length as the ejector rod housing which, I believe, were 5" on the 10 inch SBH.

That’s an early NM most likely 1973 mfg. and the 5” ERH not out yet.
It appears to have an Aluminum ERH, this would be a 4” ERH.

My educated guess would be 4.6“ Custom,,,, depending on the Gunsmith who did the Cut / Crown.
With the 4.6” barrel, the 4” ERH ends up just a scant short of the barrel.

Keeping in mind that Ruger was making 4.6” (4-5/8ths”) in the Blackhawk calibers 45, 41, 357, just not in the Super Blackhawk.
Im thinking somebody along the line of ownership wanted a 4.6” 44 Mag. this was cut down to the shorter length, because the shortest 44 Mag offering was a 6.5” Blackhawk Flattop.

A good follow up question; When was the Shorter NM Super Blackhawk offered?

Ruger site may show that but it is definitely a NEW Model made in 1973.
As stated it looks like the barrel was cut to 4/5/8"

I don't. I have a Super Blackhawk .44 Mag. that is almost exactly like the OP's. The big different is mine has the standard Blackhawk grip frame. I kind of wish it had the Super BH frame. It has the same markings on the frame and barrel as a standard Super Blackhawk. I have seen one Ruger ad that showed the same pistol as mine and wouldn't doubt some came with the Super Blackhawk frame as well.

That's be interesting. When I got mine I thought it was somebody's custom job they were selling as at that point I'd never even seen one.

Had the seller sprung for the $10 letter there’d be little doubt how it was born.

RENE shows its a first year production NM. 1973.

Paul,, the NM main frame Blackhawks are the same for the Super. The grip frames are different. The markings tell what the gun is.
In 1973,,, the Super Blackhawk was a 7-1/2" barreled gun.

If it’s cut even with the end of a replacement longer 5” ejector housing from a 10” gun, which it looks like because the entire front sight is over the housing, that means the barrel is cut to about 5 1/2”.

The barrel could be cut to 4 5/8” which would mean the ejector housing is the standard 4” size. But I don’t think so, the 4 5/8” barrel looks pretty stubby on the super Blackhawk large frame.

Here’s my 4 5/8” SBH for comparison to the OP. I’m pretty sure his is 4 5/8” too. My gun is a little over 1000 units from the OP gun’s serial number.

I"m with BearBio, measure it,,,cannot tell by the fuzzy picture and if you zoom in, it gets worser,tie is blocking the third screw if there is one but cannot see slots on the other two screws ( pins???) almost looks like transition grips, late old model , first New models and doubt anyone was smart enough then to use the LONGER ejector housing , just cut 'er down to in front of the existing housing,,,,,, thus 4 5/8'.........

5-1/2" was the first shorter barreled Super Blackhawk. They came out in 1987. The 4-5/8" ones didn't come out until 1994

Shows the 1973 production of 81-00001 thru 81-12400 as well as the duplicates D81-08606 thru D81-08783.

SN# 81-00009 is a known New Model, (“SteveRuger”)

Sorry, bone marrow biopsy had me down couple days, seller had this 1973 gun cut to standard ejector rod length, a 1975 7.5 barrel gun and a 1982 10.5 super. Medallions in 73 Gun were pretty corroded barrel markings on 73 and 75 guns looked same as did barrel crown to my old eyes. Seller had no long term knowledge of the gun, I suggested getting a letter
