It worked on me. 77 - 59 = 18 + 40 = '58, the year I was born.

Why not just say 117 minus your age? (77+40=117).

Oh wait that makes it too obvious, because it is 2017.

Of course if you subtract your age from the current year you will get the year you were born.

Jeepnik are you 118? Because that is the only way I see this not working. Unless you haven't had your birthday yet, then you'd be off by a year.
