by"stripped" do you mean the threads are 'stripped" or the escutcheon is 'stripped , loose' in the wood of the grip panel????
push it out ( or thread the scew into it and pull it out) re-inforce,repair the wood or retap the threads, easy enough to do either.........
Threads were stripped, and I tried pushing the escutcheon out, and it didn't seem to want to come out, hence my post. Didn't want to break the grip panel. I robbed one from a damaged set of grips and it turned out it just needed a little more persuading, got it fixed up. Thanks.
