Strecker Auction on Proxibid

If you haven’t shopped for a gun in a year or two you’re likely shocked about the prices.

Auctions are an excellent place to SELL, not buy.

Local guy listed his near mint S&W Model 15 with an auction …. No box, nothing fancy or special about the gun. Just a really nice older 4 inch blued revolver.

Bidding ended in the $1800.00 range. And yes, the bidder did pay!

There was a S47B in that auction today (sn: 80-50440), I cannot find it listed under the verified brass frames in J.D.'s Vintage Years book. It sold for $2600 plus 10% buyer's premium if you pay cash, plus shipping. Feels like I left the planet and I returned after 20 years.

Weird enough, I bought the Lightweight (LWSC) in that auction yesterday for $467.50 cash price incl. premium. I don't think that the grips are right, but the rest of the gun looks decent. I could not find one other gun in that auction that was reasonable.

This should be your gun model. Not all the auctions are as crazy as the Strecker auction.
