So, just in case, I bought a couple of these I got a good deal on, only $90, free shipping, and didn't have to wait 8-12 months either.

Going to put this:

and this

on one of them.

Anyone else just keep some extra stripped lowers around too?

Remember when Obama when in first time? Colt 6920's were selling for $1800 plus, Complete Rock River lowers sold for $550. The black rifle market at Tulsa has not recovered since then. Still lots of people walking around with $1200-1400 rifles that are worth $750. You still have a Republican House. If a ban were to go back in, This time there has been a mountain of black rifles, and mags stuffed back. Always good to put a few back, just remember 4 yrs ago.

Half-dozen S&W M&P lowers. Another pair on wait. A couple of Hart barrels in the safe also.
No regrets. If Semi-Autos remain legal my grandkids will be able to tell their kids about building their own rifle with Grandpa.
If not - well it won't matter anyway.

The big fear is a Exec Order "tax stamp" requirement to KEEP an AR.
If $200 seemed "reasonable" in 1934 ($3454 in 2012 dollars), I shudder to think what a "reasonable" SA tax stamp might be in 2013.

That seems kinda nuts, I'm sure everything would be grandfathered in, hence why saving lowers is all you need to do.

Seems like the kind of thing you're saying would be pretty hard to police anyway.

Looks like I need to catch up to you though.

Yeah, kinda nuts. But it really happened already. And FDR is BHO's hero. - Not my pen, that potential or possibility comes from GOA and NRA analysis. BHO learned the lessons from Clinton's "failed" gun ban law.

"I'm sure the next ban won't include registration..." To each his own.

I just want to make my Cub Scout promise. "Be Prepared"

I don't do stripped lowers, I do the 80% finished ones and finish them out myself. No paper trail for the grabbers to follow if it gets to that.
