I'm about 90% done with this build as I just have to find the scope rings I like. It'll eventually have a Leupold VXII Rimfire scop on it also.

It took a little work and some innovation but I think its perfectly what I imagined it would be. This rifle was my 10/22 growing up, with an unimaginable round count through it. I ordered up a Power Custom hammer and sear kit, factory DSP walnut stock, and Tactical Solutions barrel. I started with the stock, which needed to be finish inlet for the .920" barrel.

A dowel rod with 60 grit abrasive worked well, and pretty quickly, about 45 minutes. The hammer and sear was pretty tricky, they forgot a slave pin in the kit, but a Q-Tip made a nice slave pin.

The mostly finished product has a crisp 2 3/4lb trigger pull. The old was was pretty bad.

Looking good. Nice looking sporter stock. I have a TS barrel on my 10/22 squirrel getter with a Hogue stock. Plenty accurate for 50 yard head shots.

I really thought about going with the Hogue. I wanted something a little unique though.

Too bad I didn't get this going sooner, now its probably not going to be decent shooting weather for few months.

Nothing like a nice piece of wood. That thing is SWEET! I love that short fluted barrel. It's a very tastefully done blend of traditional and tacticool. :wink:

The 7/8" dowel rod with 60 grit paper measured out to .915" so it was pretty easy to get the channel sanded out. I was surprised it only took about 45 minutes from tape to completion.

The barrel is 16.5" and my suppressor is 4.5" so together they are 20" (half inch thread overlap) and it still looks really good.
