Checked Ruger's site and they don't list the 6.5 Creed in the std. black America. They do show it in a Kryptec stock for United Sports Dist. Cabelas shows a std. American black stock in 6.5 Creedmore with a 1:9 twist. The Ruger lists as for United Sports has the usual 1:8 twist. I would like to get the std. American in 6.5 but not with a 1:9 twist. Could be a misprint but would like to be sure. Anyone know anything about this.

Hello,

After comparing the Ruger sites two offerings, I would select the Predator. Both have the 22 inch barrel and 1 in 8 twist. I like the rail on the Predator.

I have to believe that the Cabelas site is mistaken. The Ruger site is the "mother ship" and I have to take their word.

Now, I live in Arizona so that desert camo looks good to me also. I have been thinking about that rifle for a couple of years. I have too many rifle to shoot so I have been holding back.

huntsman22,

Because:

I do not shoot further than 300 yards while hunting.

I have no need for inclined mounts.

The optics that I mount (Nikon 3X9X40) offer adequate ring spacing for this application.

If I wanted "EGW" mounts, theirs would work with the existing receiver threaded screw holes.

That is why it is my preference.
