Has anybody gotten their hands on one of these yet?
I have one on order with Ruger and was hoping someone with first hand experience could tell me what they're like.
Accuracy?
Recoil?

I have experience with other big hitters, 416 Rigby, 375 H&H, 458 Win Mag and 450 Nitro.....
Will be mainly an elk rifle, hopefully it will accompany me to Africa one day as well.

Greetings,

I have a 375 Alaskan, and I added about two pounds of lead to the buttstock to help tame the recoil. Killed a 600 pound hog with mine, and it was a one shot kill. Put that big hog down with authority.

I have not tried to shoot for group, but I feel it would easily give minute of elephant accuracy at any reasonable distance.

It is not a bench rest varmint gun, but it was not designed for small game.

I am having trouble getting brass, and I have some on order now. Better get some brass on order now. Have fun with your new gun.
