Greetings,

I am very happy to see that Ruger is offering a stainless bolt action with sights. Hope they will be offering a 223 Remington in the same format. While I am on my soap box, I would like to see a stainless number one offered even if it is in only one caliber per year.

Stainless #1's came and went. A little late to that party. Still fairly easy to find as many in the later years simply got clearanced out.
Personally, such a classic design looses so much in stainless.

Speaking of classic finishes, I know for the period of rifles that the No.1 was styled to emulate, those were blued in finish. But, just remember that once upon a time a rifles metal was left "in the white" in that wood stock.
