Looks like he also may have had some issues with reassembly, but the softer stainless caused some misfires....

The stainless one looks like an aftermarket one. How about more details??

Ok, I clicked on the link, and read the story. It doesn't mention any swapping of parts. I actually own the exact same model of gun, and it too has seen a LOT of ammo through it. (competition, hunting, WOT clinics, etc,) yet I've never had any issues.

I think the OP of that gun has a valid post in that when you have issues, a serious disassembly followed by a serious cleaning & inspection can reveal the problem.

Every manufacturer can have a bad batch of parts.

that certainly looks "aftermarket" both in shape and whats happening to the part....very 'soft', not properly heat treated obviously......as 'contender' points out any and ALL makers can get a "bad batch" of parts, at any given time in manufacturing...thats one reason I will often say that being its built by "people, for other people, AND IF THEY ARE ALL DOING THEIR JOB CORRECTLY:" THEN THINGS SHOULD ACT ,WEAR AND DO WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO AS THEY WERE DESIGNED AND THE PROPER "SPECS" HELD IN THEIR MAKING!! 8)

this also can be a "problem, issue" when one buys
parts & services, from the LOW BIDDER.............

if that came in a "factory" gun, by all means it should be returned so they can "see" for them selves that there was a "
problem, issue" thats what recalls are for..............
