Almost every time I fire the trigger gets stuck back for about a second then clicks back forward. I oiled up the area good and gave it a good cleaning. The trigger doesn't seem to rub the sides of the frame. Any suggestions?

Do what I did. Call Ruger customer service, have them email you the shipping label, UPS it back to them and let them fix it. They only had mine for 6 days and overnighted it back to me.

This is under normal live firing yes? There should be no way for the trigger to spring forward on it's own unless forced forward by the slide's cycling. Slide cycles, the tab under the Striker moves with it, contacts and pushes forward the entire trigger assembly from the very rear of the Reset Bar.
Sounds like normal Striker Fired behavior to me, these guns' triggers work differently than hammer fired guns or anything with a second strike capability. If your not used to this behavior it can seem weird or wrong.

Yes, this is under normal firing. Basically there is no way to rapid fire as you have to wait about a full second for the trigger to pop forward after firing.

Definitely not normal for the reset to take so long. Rapid fire is a normal thing for the SR9. I'd either call Ruger or tear into the fire control assembly to see what might be sticking. The reset should take no longer than it takes the slide to cycle.

I had a similar reset problem, and many new owners have posted about this problem in the past. As Josh (jhearne) said above, it is a reset problem; Ruger is aware of it; Ruger will email you a shipping label; the gun will be picked up from your door and delivered back to you soon. You will be happy soon. Ruger Service is good stuff. Just call 'em and say you have a trigger-reset problem.

Mine did that only on the 17 round mag. I sent the gun back and it has work great since. The description of what they did was not good so I can't help you on how they fixed it. 500 rds since they fixed it, no issues.

I noticed during my install of the Ghost Rocket trigger bar last night that if the reset spring gets out of shape or our of alignment this is what happens. Might be worth looking into.... I was going to order a spare one from Ruger myself, but I don't see it listed on their site yet.
