I got my sr9c last week and put 200 rounds through it. It was firing great but I did notice the trigger not returning ( resetting)maybe 4 times. I didn't think much of it. I thought maybe it was the gun being new and it would loosen up. I went again today and shot 150 rounds and it did it only one time. Has anyone else had this issue? Is it anything I should be concerned about? The gun now has had 350 rounds through it. I don't know a whole lot about guns this is my 1st. Any help would be great thanks.

Is the problem with the main trigger not coming back all the way or the smaller trigger safety? My trigger safety will sometimes stick, if I pull it sideways a bit it pops back. This doesn't effect the reliability of the weapon just need to make sure it's back in full reset when you carry for safety purposes.

Send it back to Ruger ASAP. Mine did that and only with the 17 round mag for some odd reason. I sent mine back and it was returned never to have tha issue again. The whole trigger group would stick back and not reset on me. Not a safe reliable gun when you have a single shot pistol. The description they gave me to fix it didn't make sense but they did fix it. Put 3000 plus rounds through it since without one hickup.

My SR9c did that except it happened for every other round regardless of mag or ammo used. I wasn't about to repair a brand new gun that should have never left the manufacturer in that condition. Ruger decided it could not be repaired and replace the firearm and the new one has been 100%.

However I am of the opinion that firearms need a breakin period and good cleaning. I might be tempted to give it another 100-200 rounds before returning it.

I've had a similar issue with a new SR40c. First time out I had 3 miss fires and the trigger would not reset. Racked the slide and on it went. When checking the shells that did not fire, they were light strikes. Reloaded them and they fired fine. Reading the forum here I removed the striker assembly and cleaned it and the channel very well. Haven't had an issue since. Rugers website has videos that show the procedure for disassembiling the striker. may not be the same issue but that what solved my problem.

I have the SR40c and after 500 rounds, I have had 4 failure to resets. I plan to send mine back, and if it is still giving me problems after I get it back, I'll sell it and get a Sig Sauer. A new gun should not be having problems like this and I expected better quality than this from an American manufacturer. Hopefully Ruger will make this right, without me having to pay extra for it.

This happened to me with my SR9c on the next to last round of shooting in my CCW class. It's only happened one time but if it happens again I'll send it in.
