SR9C magazine?

I have a new SR9C and have a question about the 17 round magazine. The grip adaptor on mine slides up and down pretty freely. Is this normal? Function of gun is flawless at this point. It seems only to be an issue for me when loading the mag. Does anyone have a fix for this? I've never done much alteration or customizing to my guns, so I'm looking for a little practice advice.

I have the SR40C with 2 15 round magazines. On one of them the adapter fits tightly, on the other it slides around as you describe. Seems to just be luck which one you get.

I just put some cheap glue around the edges, to stop the sliding. Mine did that and on occasion would pinch my finger. By using a cheap glue, if I need to take one off I can just pop it loose. Didn't want it permanently attached, but wanted it to be still.
