Hello... New to the forum and looking for a little help.
Bought a SR9C and put 50 rounds through it last week with no issues. Had my wife fire it today and it failed to expel the empty casing 3 times. Any ideas?

Sounds like your wife may be limp wristing. See if this still happens if she concentrates on a firmer grip.

Mine stovepiped on a couple the first box through it. I know it was limp wristing in my case. Tightened my grip just a little, never happened again. I'm not sure I could make it do that again now that it is well broken in.

My Sr9c has performed flawlessly since those first couple of stovepipes. The only exceptions have been a couple of ammo related when I started reloading. As a side note, my SR9c eats reloads that my buddy's Glock won't touch.

My sr9c is very susceptible to the "limp wrist" problem. Happens to my wife with my sr9c often.I bought the gun to be my wifes carry ,but could not let her carry it because of that.I have tried to tighten up her grip but can't trust it not to fail.Funny thing is she never has this problem with my lcp or my springfields.

Thanks everyone for the advise. Going to take her back to the range and work on her grip. I'll let you now how it turns out.

What ammo? How many rounds are through it in total? I ask because I have tried to induce a limp-wristing failure in my SR9c and can't using my standard handload (115 gr JHP over 6.8 gr Power Pistol). I've held it with just my trigger finger an thumb and did it loosely. Almost jumped out of my hand. I have about 3500 rounds through mine. I got it new in Feb 2010. No mods to the pistol.

I'm using Remington UMC 115 grain MC. We've only put 83 total rounds through it. I put 50 through it last week with no problem. My wife put 33 through yesterday with 3 failures. I also have an SR40. She has no issues with that gun but it's a little snappier then she likes. That's why we bought her the SR9C.
