Is there anywhere else besides MidwayUSA that carries the 10rd stubby mags for SR9c's? $39.99 seems really steep imho. Thanx guys.

I can find SR9 (17 round) clips as low as $24.99 but the 10 round all I can find is $39.99. I guess we can use the 17 round for reload. That is if we want to conceal carry extra mags. But I think I will stay with 10+1 for conceal and use the 17 rounds for range. I will keep an eye out and keep informed if I find anything!

Thank you sir! I did notice that my gun came with a Ruger registration card that, when completed online, they give you 20% OFF at www.shopruger.com. That put the mags at $33.60 a piece.

I think if you can find the 10 Round SR9 (Full Size) mags, you can swap the body/bases to fit the SR9c. A couple guys here did that. You buy the 10 Round mags with long SR9 bases. You buy a couple of the finger extension bases from shopruger.com and then swap them out. I think you save a few bucks, and if you do the 20% off you save a bit extra too.

Thats what i did 8)

I also agree with jhearne and texasgunner, that sounds like an alternative, but I found on Cheaperthandirt.net they have the SR9C finger extensions for $5.58 a peice. Sounds like once this info gets out, that web site will be sold out of them! :). I think I will pass, since I am saving up for my CCL.

I took a look at the 10 round mag for the SR9 on the Ruger website and it looked bigger than the one for the SR9c. Is this true or just an illusion?

Physically the assembled 10 round mags for the SR9 are bigger, but only because the base plate is an inch or so tall. Otherwise the metal bodies are the same....it's a cost saving feature to let Ruger use the same 10 round mags and save that design cost.

If you can find an inexpensive 10 round mag for the SR9, it will work. I found one for the $24, removed the base plate which is an extended piece, and put on the flat plate that came with the SR9c (which I removed to put on the pinky extension). It fits perfectly.

This is it with 10 rd SR9 mag:

When did you purchase your SR9c? If you don't mind my asking. I checked my box again and I did not find such a card. Bummer......

Yeah, you don't need a card, just your S/N on the gun and the info from your box.

the 20% off discount is good for only a limited time once you register. I got mine SR9C 5-21-10 and expires 8-1-10, guess i need to use it before it expires. :) Buckshotshorty where did you find your SR9 10 round mag, locally or online? I looked online and all I could find is the SR9 17 round mags and never seen the 10 round mag for the SR9. (I did find the SR9c 10 round mags, but at $42.99 each) I did find the 17 round SR9 for $24.99 at Budsgunshop.com

Received my short 10rd mags from Ruger today. Paid $147.90 shipped for 4 mags which came out to $36.98 each. I'm not complaining I guess. Next time I'll be picking up some 10rd SR9 mags with the sleeves.
