If I have more than 4 rounds in my 10 round magazine, it usually won't drop clear of the weapon when I press the magazine release. With 4 rounds or less, it drops clear every time. 17 round mag has no issues what so ever. Put a dial caliper on it and the width went from .860" empty to .864" after the 5th round was insterted. 17 round mag is .858" empty and .861" fully loaded.

Anyone else ever have issues dropping a loaded mag from the SR9c?

Looks like I'm gonna have to call Ruger on this

New 10 round magazine being sent out with a prepaid mailer to send the old one back. Works for me. They are even sending it with the finger extension plate on it so I don't have to swap the plates out.

That's good to hear. Just for the record my 10rd, and 17rd, drop just fine. The only "issue" I have with all the mags is that you really have to slam them in to load them. With my Springfield XD and Colt 1911 the mags need less force to load then the Ruger mags.

So I received the new magazine and popped it in and it dropped flawlessly with 1-5 rounds in it. After adding more rounds, it still does the same thing. Maybe a little dis-assembly and thorough deep cleaning will resolve it. Otherwise I may have to send it to them for resolution. My concern would be mostly in case of some sort of malfunction in the first couple rounds of the mag and have to drop a partially loaded magazine to clear it.
