I have seen the new version on you tube and on the forums, but has anyone else seen the v1.2 in California yet? I have been on the search for one and haven't seen it.

Hey was up Josh. Are you gonna make a video on the v1.2 trigger pull? Also this is what i got in an email from Ruger.

All of the SR9 in production with the serial number above 331-25000 have all the upgraded parts such as new trigger mechanisms; slide stop, and the D shaped magazine release button. Any SR9 below this serial number will have old style parts. You will have to check your local firearms dealer for an updated firearm.

I'm surprised you got that much info too. I asked them about it about a month ago, and they said they weren't aware of any changes that were going to be made to the SR9 to mimic the SR9c. :roll:

That's true... could be. My SR9 IIRC was about the same when I first got it though and then loosened up. I haven't put nearly the same rounds thru my compact to see if it loosens up yet though. Time will tell.
Great, now I need to replace my 1.1 SR9. Do you guys think the 1.2 is far superior or a factory change to ease production?

Actually, the slide stop works fine as a slide release when a loaded mag is in it. It's pretty difficult with no magazine. I never cleared up that confusion.
I think it's a little of both, it eases production, but it is a little better too. The mag release is better, the take down pin, I don't know what issue that might have addressed, and the trigger feels pretty good, not like what I've heard others say abut the older ones.

I agree with 89grand. Its a little bit of both. The person i talked with at Ruger said the v1.1 was being recalled extensively and using the SR9C components allows for easier compatibility between models, brings down costs of production, and is somewhat an improvement with the trigger assembly.

I'm not beating up on you 89 but psrabordo said that the v1.1 was recalled, when in fact it would have been the v1.
I have had my SR9 for almost 3 years and it's a good gun, over 10,000 rds, no issues at all.

Yeah Cheese, the V1.? numbers were my doing. We had new internals and wanted an easy way to reference them...I figured this was an easy way of distinguishing them.
V1.0 - Original SR9, later recalled.
V1.1 - Post Recall production up until the SR9c style internals were implemented.
V1.2 - Current new SR9 with SR9c internals and physical features shared between them (Notably the Takedown Pin and D shaped Mag Release). According to above post, serial numbers 331-25000+ SR9's marks the change.

GREAT TRIGGER, by the way. It outshot my reference Glock 19 today in a big way. The SR9's are really impressing me.

It can't be 331-25000, because mine is way lower than that.
