Range report of the SR9. I took the SR9 to the range today and ran 200 rds through it. All factory except for about 10 reloads. The gun ran all equally well. The gun shot point of aim out to about 50 feet the max I shot. No FTF or FTE and the trigger was great. I did a couple of single shots with out the mag and it worked well. That said I noticed after about 125 rds that the number 51 pin was about ¾ of the way out of the frame. I had a feeling that the pins worked much like the M16 trigger and hammer and sear pins that are kept in place with a spring tail. I pushed it in and used my thumb nail to get a click. When getting home I got out the exploded view of the gun and saw I was correct in my idea that it was held in place by another spring tail. I hope this was just not pushed in far enough at the factory to engage the spring tail. After the first time the pin came out ¾ of the way out, I did not push it in with a thumb nail and after the last rounds I noticed it was working its way out again. Only after pushing it in with my thumb nail and getting a small click do I feel that it may have just been a small problem that was missed at the factory. Gun grouped good and at 50 feet I could hit the eyes of the milk bottle target. So far so good and I will give this incident a pass for now. If it keeps doing it I will have to send it back and that would give me pause to the guns quality. Trigger pull was good and the spongy feeling I get with a snap cap is not noticeable when shooting.
