Didn't take Cheaper Than Dirt long to start price gouging. $59 for a 17 rd mag today.
They did it to us 4 years ago and they started it again. Buyer beware I hope the A.G. of Texas takes notice.

Pathetic is the only word I was able to come up with for whoever runs that "company". Its up to us gun owners to avoid them and allow them to fail.

Yep, I never buy from Cheaper Than Dirt. There are other online gun stores that I shopped frequently.

I guess I ordered mine just in time. Got 2 froms bud's gun shop online for $29.00 a piece about 2 weeks ago.

Bought my extra SR9, 10/22, & Mini-14 mags early in the year.

I ordered 3 SR9 17 round mags Monday night. There was one warehouse that they would ship from that cost $59 something and 3 other warehouses where they were $30.50. I of course chose the $30.50 mag from the cheaper warehouses but it must be that the only ones left are the ones that were previously set up to price gouge.

I've noticed that Buds is completely out of the 17 round mags and not sure if CTD has any left even at the inflated prices.

Gander Mountain is doing the same. Around $50 for the SR9/c 17 round. About 40 ish for the Sr40/c 15 round magazine. No grip adapter on either by the way. I can't really explain the price difference in mags between the sr9 and sr40. It's almost as if someone was making up numbers.

Hate to be the lone wolf here but......

If you bought gold at $365/ounce is it immoral for you to sell it at $1700?

Market conditions change and so do prices. With mags or guns just think replacement cost. If CTD bumps the price to $59.99 for a 29.99 item then yes they are probably going to lose some sales to folks that say NO WAY! But....the sales they do make will make up for the sales they miss when they can not get anymore mags.

In a free market price is set by demand. It just so happens that demand is at an unprecedented level and prices are not far behind. If it makes you feel any better, $12 Magpul Pmags are selling for over $100. All of this in the last week or so. 100% increase on your pistol mags is better that 900% on your AR mags, right?

I have a feeling that some of you that are whining about price gouging are just ticked because you did not prepare for the madness that is today's gun market. History repeats itself and this is no different than the last few panic modes. Difference this time being that you have a arrogant POTUS that thinks he has a mandate to do whatever the heck he feels like. And BTW if you are one of they guys bitching about gun/ammo/mag prices and you voted for BHO......sorry about your luck. Just my .02!

Yes, the free market should rule, I agree. I get so tired of hearing our fearless leaders saying 'the free market isn't working' to justify socialism- when we haven't had a free market in 40 years.
